As skilled health professional’s we recognise the benefits of continued professional development and a strong professional network. In this OT week we choose an education program linked to the many job opportunities for OT i.e. those available currently in the NGO sector. Our chosen courses were ‘Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation’ as well as ‘Writing Skills for Publication’. As part of National OT week a group of OT’s visited a neighbouring district and offered community based OT services for a range of disability groups. Our week has also included some visits from the national press service, and a cultural film festival (of films which touched a disability theme). We all feel that it has been an incredibly successful OT Week, in which there has been great opportunity to share skills and experiences. BOTA (our national association) toke a big role in the organizing of this National OT week.
